James Hawes
James Hawes is a BAFTA-winning British director working across television, film, and commercial advertising. He began his career at the BBC in documentary and current affairs before moving into drama, where he developed a distinctive, cinematic style. He is best known for directing acclaimed series including Doctor Who, Black Mirror, Slow Horses, and Penny Dreadful, establishing a reputation for high-end, character-driven storytelling. Alongside his screen work, he has directed major campaigns for global brands such as Apple, AEG. He also directed the feature One Life starring Anthony Hopkins and is about to go into pre-production with Amazon MGM Studios The Challenger, starring Kirsten Stewart as trailblazing astronaut Sally Ride, continuing his move into large-scale international filmmaking.
