British-Moroccan comedy director Sara Harrak tells stories that celebrate resilience, complexity, and the beautifully unexpected. Moving seamlessly between the emotionally profound and the sharply absurd, her work foregrounds communities that are often overlooked. Her latest short, Solers United, premiered at BFI Flare and follows a women’s football team fighting to save their local pitch—a spirited portrait of solidarity and resistance. Solers United is currently in development as a feature film. Sara has also been shortlisted for the Women Directors Mentorship in collaboration with SeriesFest and Shondaland.
